I have a challenge to find a way to lock down a file in a user's home directory, such that a user can NOT modify, rename, move, delete, etc. The solution needs to be deployable without, for example, having to switch from unix to windows, etc

we are setup sendmail like a relaying. We are using user authetecing in the smart mail host. But when we use sendmail to send a message, the message is rejected, because user root, not is a user known in the domain.

Hi All
After downloading ZFS documentation from oracle site, I am able to successfully migrate UFS root FS without zones to ZFS root FS. But in case of UFS root file system with zones , I am successfully able to migrate global zone to zfs root file system but zone are still in UFS root file... (2 Replies)

Does anyone has a clue of what is going on here? It was working few days ago. /etc/hosts looks ok, sendmail does restart without any errors, telnet is successful. I will be happy to send you guys any output required.

I've created a Perl daemon that needs to send an email when an error/shutdown occurs. I use the Perl Email::Valid module and that uses sendmail. I have read about sendmail running as 2 separate process.
1 as a MSP, and the other as the real daemon or MTA.
In my current configuration,
the sendmail-client is disabled.
Both submit.cf and sendmail.cf are left as default untouch
