Thanks for prompt reply. I was kind of under that impression too, but wasn't sure. So, can you tell me where in JBoss, I can set this up so the created dump file goes to the desired location and not the default one?

Is it possible to nohup a process and redirect the output to a file containing the PID?
E.g. if
nohup filename > out.nohup

I have problem with killing red5 process running on linux server. As this process is continuously changing its PID so it can't be killed with "kill -9 PID" command.
First I used following command to list RED5 process
ps aux | grep red5

killall(1M) System Administration Commands killall(1M)
NAME
killall - kill all active processes
SYNOPSIS
/usr/sbin/killall [signal]
DESCRIPTION
killall is used by shutdown(1M) to kill all active processes not directly related to the shutdown procedure.
killall terminates all processes with open files so that the mounted file systems will be unbusied and can be unmounted.
killall sends signal (see kill(1)) to the active processes. If no signal is specified, a default of 15 is used.
The killall command can be run only by the super-user.
