if i try
>echo "/abc/123/" | sed 's_\/_\\/_g'
>\/abc\/123\/ #desired output
im trying to take the output in a variable like
>pqr=`echo "/abc/123/" | sed 's_\/_\\/_g'`
>echo $pqr
>/abc/123/
im not getting desired output...

is_string - Find whether the type of a variable is string
SYNOPSIS
bool is_string (mixed $var)
DESCRIPTION
Finds whether the type given variable is string.
PARAMETERS
o $var
- The variable being evaluated.
RETURN VALUES
Returns TRUE if $var is of type string, FALSE otherwise.
EXAMPLES
