Hi.

-e covers that too, just use \t for tabs.

The echo on Linux really is poor. It isn't Posix standard (i.e. probably not portable).

You should use print or printf instead of echo.

Hi, I need some help with an issue on my script. When I run option 3 it works just fine. When I run Option 4 which puts back the changes done in option 3 it fails. The echo() function enables Echo mode for the current screen. The noecho() function disables Echo mode for the current screen. Initially, curses software echo mode is enabled and hardware echo mode of the tty driver is disabled. The echo() and noecho() functions control soft- ware echo only. Hardware echo must remain disabled for the duration of the application, else the behavior is undefined. RETURN VALUES
Upon successful completion, these functions return OK. Otherwise, they return ERR. ERRORS
