RE:Route new network interface Solaris 8
Hi Stephane
The first thing that springs to mind is the lack of a broadcast address on eri0. This should be something like 192.168.4.255 (You will need to check with your network team).
I would check the subnet mask as well. Given that the route get indicates a mask of 255.255.255.255 for 192.168.4.6 you will need the same for eri0.

when i login as guest user , output like below,

Every time when i boot my system i have to manually issue the following commands.
ifconfig elxl0 plumb 192.168.200.129 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
route add default 192.168.200.1

I have a solaris Server in which I have 4 network interfaces , out of which only one is used . So all the applications are using this interface .
