you can try to boot from cdrom/dvd and access your internal disks... maybe a "fsck" on your boot-disk might help with your problem!

How do I run OpenWindows on a Solaris10 Sparc system?
I know it has been discontinued, but I have some applications that only run on OpenWin. And I would like to run Solaris10 instead of Solaris8, hence the problem. Can I download, install and run it with Solaris10?

I installed Apache 1.3.34 and MYSQL 5.1.50.
while executing the following command to compile the mod_auth_mysql.c module
sudo ./apxs -c -L/d00/tbls/mysql/lib -I/d00/tbls/mysql/include -lmysqlclient -lm -lz mod_auth_mysql.c.

did something very dump under /usr/lib, eg: overwite a bunch of files from a similar system's /usr/lib, while the system is live..
I have no backup on this..it crashed...and came up with a bunch of device driver load errors and hung...

In my local Vmware system i have installed solaris but while getting my root disk mirrored in svm I changed the vfstab entries and rebooted the server , the server got crashed, and now the root file systems and other filesystems are crashed.

NAME
fsck_cachefs - check integrity of data cached with CacheFS
SYNOPSIS
fsck -F cachefs [-m] [-o noclean] cache_directory
DESCRIPTION
The CacheFS version of the fsck command checks the integrity of a cache directory.This utility corrects any CacheFS problems it finds by
default. There is no interactive mode. The most likely invocation of fsck for CacheFS file systems is at boot time from an entry in the
/etc/vfstab file. See vfstab(4).
OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
-m Check, but do not repair.
-o noclean Force a check on the cache even if there is no reason to suspect there is a problem.
EXAMPLES
Example 1: Using fsck_cachefs to Force a Check on the Cache Directory
The following example forces a check on the cache directory /cache3:
example% fsck -F cachefs -o noclean /cache3
