Since it is Vmware environment, and this issue also related to VMware (plz see below link), we just want to find out when/why that happend. so that we can make nessasary steps to prevent this in the future. For now it seems to be ok.

I dont think smartctl tool has been installed on my servers. I think with this tool we can monitor future events(?). Since Im not much expertised on all of these things, just trying to get it.

DESCRIPTION

       vmware is an XFree86 driver for VMware virtual video cards.

CONFIGURATION DETAILS

       Please refer to XF86Config(5) for general configuration details.  This section only covers configuration details specific to this driver.

       The driver auto-detects the version of any virtual VMware SVGA adapter.

       The following driver Options are supported:

       Option "HWCursor" "boolean"
	      Enable or disable the HW cursor.	Default: off.

       Option "NoAccel" "boolean"
	      Disable or enable acceleration.  Default: acceleration is enabled.
