Attached are views of the components of a dummy Access database. The database represents an example of the problem that has reared its ugly head.
The query example is a simple "Selection" query, which, after getting it to work, will become an "Append" query. The selected data will be appended back to Table T1.
The problem is that the selection criteria in the query does not work.
The same problem occurs on some text boxes in the customer's database -- but not on all of them.
I have compacted and repaired the database, and ran AVG and Anvira AntiVi.
I have thought about reinstalling Access -- but the problem occurs on both my computer at home and the customer's computer.
On both my and the customer's real databases, I have tried deleting the offending text boxes and queries and reinstalling them with no improvement. I also tried deleting and reinstalling the form, with no improvement. This might sound crazy, but it has helped in the past with similar problems I use XP Pro, SR3, 1 gig memory, no other programs loaded except AVG and Process Explorer, plenty of hard disk space, a 1.8 CPU, and Access 2000 9.0.2720.
I am exporting data using a shell program. I am getting all of the records instead of getting a subset based on my query. The export_problem.par lists all of my tables. I tried the query with the ' and without it. How do I get the export to use the query?
Thanks!
