This is what I' not sure about what disk type to pick for HP EVA8000 MPIP disk.
As you could assign a PVID to the disk on both nodes installation of the HP drivers was successfull and the LUN will be usable as hdisk. If the hdisk is visible from both nodes by its PVID you can select the disk from the CSPOC menu. CSPOC will offer only disks that are known at the cluster nodes by its PVID and that do not belong to any VG yet. It does not ask for "type".

I have no experience with HP EVA but in case this HP EVA is some sort of FC disk that is accessed via two or more paths you might want to set the hdisk's hcheck_interval (if applicable) to a value different from the default 0 bevor integrating it into the VG.

7.) on Node1 : smit hacmp > system management (c-spoc) > hacmp logical volume management > shared volume groups > set characteristics of a shared volume group > Add a volume to a shared volume group
8.) on Node1 : smit hacmp > system management (c-spoc) > hacmp logical volume management > shared volume groups > mirror a shared volume group
yes. The CSPOC panel will probably hang till the mirroring is finished.

Not necessary when using CSPOC.
