SCSI Tape Error

When I am trying to read any tape I getthe following message on my screen: "stp: Error on SCSI tape=0 (ha=0 id=6 lun=0)" Does anybody know how to solve this problem and what the message means. I already have rebooted the server and cleaned the heads of the tape unit. HELP!!!! (1 Reply)

probe-scsi-all hangs probing D1000

Hi folks, I´m having a problem with a Ultra60 box with diff scsi pci card conected to one D1000. The conection are correct because a checked the D1000 guide. When a do probe-scsi-all in the OBP, the D1000 blink all disks one time then the led of one of the disks powers off and then nothing... (2 Replies)

I have run init 0 to bring it to OK prompt. I know that probe-scsi-all can hang the system. I want to know what is the difference between probe-scsi-all and probe-scsi. ulpt -- USB printer support SYNOPSIS
To compile this driver into the kernel, place the following line in your kernel configuration file: device ulpt Alternatively, to load the driver as a module at boot time, place the following line in loader.conf(5): ulpt_load="YES" DESCRIPTION
The ulpt driver provides support for USB printers that follow the printer bi- or uni-directional protocol. The bits in the minor number select various features of the driver. Minor Bit Function 64 Do not initialize (reset) the device on the port. Some printers cannot handle the reset on open; in case of problems try the unlpt device. HARDWARE
