hmmm - I don't see this:

What OS are you using ?

anyway you could try:

#  echo "04170000000 + 1" | bc
4170000001

or
#  echo 04170000000 1 | awk '{print $1 + $2}'
4170000001

depending on your input format.

Strange problem.

Well, my script started off to do what i wanted. Now, i think its not recognizing the pattern so its not moving anything. What i have to do is execute my script command for the move to take effect.
