get_iplayer 1.26 (Default branch)

get_iplayer allows a user to download or stream any BBC iPlayer TV program (H.264/Quicktime), ITVplayer TV programs (ASF/WMV), iPlayer radio programs (MP3/RealAudio), and BBC podcasts (MP3/AAC). It even downloads iPlayer subtitles. It supports RTMP iPlayer downloads. It has full PVR functionality for automatic downloading. License: GNU General Public License v3 Changes:
A tv --vmode parsing bug was fixed. The retry/fallback mode loop code was rewritten. A StreamImage thumbnail element was added to --xml-channels output for mythtv. Stream element locations in the --xml-channels XML output were fixed for mythtv. A bug where search index numbers greater than one on the command line would be ignored if the type was not specified in --type was fixed. Cache type loading was made more intelligent and now only loads the specified --type caches if absolutely required. Broken podcast downloading was fixed. Image

NAME
WebCommon::urlEncode - URL encode a string SYNOPSIS
String urlEncode( String x ) ARGUMENTS
x The string to encode DESCRIPTION
URL encode a string. You should use this to encode reserved characters in URLs that you wish to be passed literally. // trying to pass "http://www.example.com" as a parameter url = "http://localhost/test.cgi?url="; url += urlEncode("http://www.example.com"); // url = http://localhost/test.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.example.com Note that in the example above, encoding the whole URL would be incorrect - that would create a relative URL beginning "http://".
