Perl Script Issue - Please Help * Thanks!!!

Thanks for your assistance. I have made the modifications; however, still receive the following errors:
"my" variable @values masks earlier declaration in same scope at ./perlnbe.pl line 25.
syntax error at ./perlnbe.pl line 25, near "$values["
Execution of ./perlnbe.pl aborted due to compilation errors.

use warnings;

my $directory = '.';

The explain_opendir_or_die function is used to call the opendir(3) system call. On failure an explanation will be printed to stderr, obtained from explain_opendir(3), and then the process terminates by calling exit(EXIT_FAILURE).
