Update and restore error messages on the iPhone and iPod touch

When trying to update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch with iTunes, you may see an error message in iTunes that stops the update or restore process. You may also see the "Connect to iTunes" screen on your iPhone or iPod touch:The error message in iTunes may also include one of the following numbers (but is not limited to): 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 13, 19, -18, -48, -50, 1002, 1011, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1608, 1609, 1611, 1612, 2003, 2004, -9808

NAME
idevicebackup2 - Create or restore backup for iDevices running iOS4+. SYNOPSIS
idevicebackup2 [OPTIONS] CMD [CMDOPTIONS] DIRECTORY DESCRIPTION
Create or restore backup from the current or specified directory. OPTIONS
-u, --uuid UUID target specific device by its 40-digit device UUID. -d, --debug enable communication debugging. -h, --help prints usage information. COMMANDS
backup create backup for the device. restore restore last backup to the device. --system restore system files, too. --reboot reboot the system when done. --copy create a copy of backup folder before restoring. --settings restore device settings from the backup. info show details about last completed backup of device. list list files of last completed backup in CSV format. unback unpack a completed backup in DIRECTORY/_unback_/.
