I'm trying to configure the network, I've configured the file /etc/rc.conf.d/netconf with my IP address and the right gateway, so the HP9000 is on the net, I've tried a ping. i have a router from my isp provider 02. my internet works fine in windows but i am unable to use internet in solaris. when i tried ifconfig command

Dear All,
I am a beginner of Sun Solaris. Now I install Sun Solaris 10 on my machine Brand Dell optiplex 745. When i complete installation I found no Network Card
in my computer by using command ifconfig -a, I found only loopback Adapter.
Could anyone help me to solve this problem?

The check-hostname script is a migration aid for sendmail(1M). This script tries to determine the local host's fully-qualified host name (FQHN) in a manner similar to sendmail(1M). If check-hostname is able to determine the FQHN of the local host, it reports success. Other- wise, check-hostname reports how to reconfigure the system so that the FQHN can be properly determined.
