I am not aware of such a possibility and from my experiences with IBM AIX I doubt it. The only possibility I can think of would be an official patch by IBM. In case you have IBM support open a PMR and ask them to extend the range.

I have an IBM AIX 5.3 64Bit running with 64bit application (Kernel runs on 64bit also).
I changed the maximum proccesses per user to the maximum.
Currently the pids of proccesses in the system using 5 digits (<100000).

I ftpd "binary" mode into a AIX server and transferred .tar.tar files.
When i untar using "tar -xvf <filename>.tar.gz"
It shows "tar: 0511-169 A directory checksum error on media; 0 not equal to 70568."

DESCRIPTION
pls list the contents of a directory on a device connected through SynCE.
Forward slashes ('/') on the command line are converted to backward slashes ('').

Set debug log level:
0 - No logging (default)

-h Display help message.
DIRECTORY
The full path name to the directory. Wild cards are allowed, but only for the trailing part of the path, and should be protected
from the shell. If this parameter is relative, it is assumed to be relative to the "My Documents" folder. Similarly, if this parame-
