Learning is so much easier with just a little explanation sometimes and i thank you guys... Though man pages are nice for a lot of sys admins the explanations are quite lacking and I feel mostly written for gurus already.. I think if linux is to become more popular one day people will realize that not just engineering types are going to use it. also the barrier of entry is pretty high. Not everyone cares to dive in with linux and be cool with breaking things until they learn it.. some of us don't learn til we're 30 or later.. You're going to have business people (such as myself).

for example, one server i use is so riddled with problems - like yum doesn't work, there's dns problems, rpm doesn't work, etc.. the more familiar i get, the more problems i see.. Smilie it's a big headache.. google search to these forums are a far bigger help than man pages.

Need help! command working ok when executed in command line, but fails when run inside a script!

       tcl, tk, tcl-tk - Tool Command Language

       The  tcl  software  is  unsupported software that is provided as part of Tru64 UNIX.  Compaq will fix problems in this unsupported software
