help with awk or sed
Hi Folks,
I need help about three things
1. First i have filename "beatiful.txt" have word "good" wants to replace that word with "bad".
2. Second I have file data.txt that containts words "p49" I want to delete that character from entire file.
3. If i grep a particular word from a file it show me all similiar charter like
I have words in a file
#cat kk
oper ouier o9u o5
#cat kk |egrep -e "o5"
oper ouier o9u o5
its showing all, how to see particular match

Hey all,
Can I put sed command inside the awk action ?? If not then can i do grep in the awk action ??
For ex:
awk '$1=="174" { ppid=($2) ; sed -n '/$ppid/p' tempfind.txt ; }' tempfind.txt
Assume: 174 is string.
Assume: tempfind.txt is used for awk and sed both.

SQL::ReservedWords::Sybase - Reserved SQL words by Sybase
SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION
Determine if words are reserved by Sybase.
METHODS
is_reserved( $word )
Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by either Sybase ASE 12 or 15.
is_reserved_by_ase12( $word )
Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by Sybase ASE 12.
is_reserved_by_ase15( $word )
Returns a boolean indicating if $word is reserved by Sybase ASE 15.
reserved_by( $word )
Returns a list with Sybase versions that reserves $word.
words
Returns a list with all reserved words.
