PThread and More Than 1 Core
Hello all.
I have made an application in C using pthreads. My problem is that my program seems to be only using 1 of my cores when I create multiple threads. I have 4 cores (Q9300). I am using Ubuntu 8.04.
I do believe the problem is that on linkage it's using a pthread emulation package rather than the real thing?
Either way how do I solve this problem?

consider if the thread routine returns any void pointer while calling pthread_join,
the thread resources are freed and the thread will be terminated when the main thread is exit ,that is my assumption whether it is true

clp - linear program solver
SYNOPSIS
clp filename [ options ] solutionfile
DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents briefly the clp command.
clp -- interface to the coin linear programming solver. clp solves the following linear optimization program:
minimize c^t x
such that: row_lb <= Ax <= row_ub
column_lb <= x <= column_ub
OPTIONS
When no options are given clp enters the interactive command line mode. Otherwise the program enters a batch mode, for which a summary of
options is included below. For a complete description, see /usr/share/doc/coinor-libclp-doc.
-help Show summary of options.
-primalsimplex
solve the problem using the primal simplex method
-dualsimplex
solve the problem using the dual simplex method
