We're replacing the riser to a variety that provides PCI-X slots.

FWIW - It would appear that Unixware 7.x drivers are cross-compatible with Openserver 6.

Moving HBA cards to different PCI slots

Has anyone ever relocated an HBA card after already having it configured in another PCI slot? I've found that the HBA instance #'s start incrementing past the previous. It results in me having to have my instance numbers in /kernel/drv/qla2300.conf be 4,5,6,7 instead of 0,1,2,3. Cleanup with... (5 Replies)

PCI / PCIExpress Parallel port in SCO 6.0.0

How do or what do I need to add PCI / PCIe (PCI Express) parallel ports add-on adapters to OpenServer 6.0.0? OpenServer 5 could see PCI slots but OpenServer 6.0.0 (Original CD or the Re-cut one) required a maintenance pack to be installed? Is this right and how do I check to see if these work? (2 Replies)

SCSI--Moving from PCI-X to PCIe

PCI-X was popular years ago, now it's not. Today's motherboards have PCIe slots, not PCI-X slots. I'm accustomed to using Adaptec, but I believe they've been bought out by ATTO Technology. Now ATTO has a product called PCI UL50 Dual Channel VHDCI Ultra320 SCSI PCIe card. So: does the SCO UNIX... (7 Replies)

tran_bus_reset(9e) Driver Entry Points tran_bus_reset(9e)

NAME
tran_bus_reset - reset a SCSI bus SYNOPSIS
#include <sys/scsi/scsi.h> int prefix tran_bus_reset(dev_info_t *hba_dip, int level); INTERFACE LEVEL
Solaris DDI PARAMETERS
hba_dip The dev_info_t pointer associated with the SCSI HBA. level The level of reset required. DESCRIPTION
The tran_bus_reset() vector in the scsi_hba_tran(9S) structure should be initialized during the HBA driver's attach(9E). It is an HBA entry point to be called when a user initiates a bus reset through device control interfaces. tran_bus_reset() must reset the SCSI bus without resetting targets. level will be one of the following: RESET_BUS Reset the SCSI bus only, not the targets. Implementation is hardware specific. If it is not possible to reset the SCSI bus without changing the state and operating mode of the tar- gets, the HBA driver should not initialize this vector or return failure. RETURN VALUES
tran_bus_reset() should return: 1 on success. 0 on failure. ATTRIBUTES
