Java retrieve a value from a function and assign it to a variable

hi
i have a function.
parse()
{
qname="lpdma111"
qmgr="lpdma111"
qalias="lpqqali"
}

Now the requirement is i want ot get the vaues form the function

start()
{
//retireve the values from the parse function

}

XmParseMappingCreate creates a parse mapping for use in a parse table. This function allows the application to specify values for compo- nents of the parse mapping using a resource-style argument list. arglist Specifies the argument list argcount Specifies the number of attribute/value pairs in the argument list (arglist) For a complete definition of XmParseMapping and its associated resources, see XmParseMapping(3).
