Thanks for your input sparcguy. But do you mean the PS2 connector of a client pc/laptop that has a serial connection to the system controller? Because there is no PS2/USB connector on a E25K system.
So last week I posted about my system that will not completely boot. It reports a bad trap and reboots in an endless cycle. I'm at a point where I just want to wipe the system clean, reload the software and basically start from scratch.
I can interrupt the boot cycle and get to an ok prompt.... (2 Replies)
Hello to all!
In the OK prompt, which command should I use to see RAM memory, CPU, and disks partition and capacity?
I have in my hands an ancient Ultra5 machine, which Im trying to install Solaris, but don't know if the configuration is the original one.

Yeah so, I have setup a domain controller (windows 2003) active directory machine and it is managing couple of windows servers and workstation. I also have couple of AIX machines that need to have the same time as other windows server and workstation hanging off of that domain controller.

Here is a little background. We have a V240 server that has two disks mirrored (out of 4 disks) and one of the disk complained when booting up. The system complained with /etc/inittab file is truncated or corrupted, cannot create /ar/adm/utmpx failed write of utmpx entry.

do_config
do_config(9r)do_config(9r)NAME
do_config - EISA/ISA: Initializes the device to its assigned configuration
SYNOPSIS
void do_config(
struct controller *ctlr_p );
ARGUMENTS
Specifies a pointer to the controller structure associated with the controller to be configured. The do_config routine obtains the device
to initialize through its controller's associated controller structure pointer.
DESCRIPTION
The do_config routine initializes the specified controller based on its power-up resource assignments. If the device uses either an inter-
rupt or a DMA channel, then do_config also performs any setup requirements. For example, for controllers that connect to the EISA bus,
do_config initializes the controller according to the parameters specified in the EISA configuration file.
NOTES
The do_config routine is a generic interface that maps to a bus-specific interface that actually initializes the specified device. Using
this routine to initialize a device makes the driver more portable across different bus architectures. Not all buses support the do_config
routine.
RETURN VALUES
None
