I'd suggest downloading Solaris 9 instead of 10. I don't think you can boot Sunfires with Solaris 10 5/08.

After a power loss I went to power on our sun fire v120 that is running solaris 10 and now it will not boot. I tried power cycling it from the lom and pulling the cord but nothing works. I've a machine - SunFire V890, it've been failed by OS error for 2 weeks ago, and now, I must reinstall OS (Solaris 10 2009), the progress was successful, but when I reboot, it displayed the error like :

Howto boot from Cd-rom in Server Sunfire v250?
The system can't boot because the filesystem is corrupt.
The system say:
run manually fsck -F ufs /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s5
But, I don't now how to make this.
I tried use stop + a, but nothing hapend.

It's a DHCP server. We want to make a clone for fail over purpose since there are some identical systems available here. We do have a secondary DHCP server.
Hardware: Sun v120. OS: Solaris 9. Two disks without array, /var and /opt on the secondary disk.

SYNOPSIS
suninstall
DESCRIPTION
install-solaris(1M) is now the preferred command for starting and restarting the Solaris Installation program. It should be used instead of
suninstall. suninstall is symbolically linked to install-solaris.
suninstall is a forms-based and graphical subsystem for installing the operating system.
suninstall exists only on the Solaris installation media (CD or DVD) and should only be invoked from there. Refer to the Solaris 10 Instal-

suninstall allows installation of the operating system onto any standalone system. suninstall loads the software available on the installa-
