Basically, Apple decided to get rid of all other launch daemons and have one to rule them all, launchd. You can write a script and toss it, in lets say, /usr/sbin/myscript.sh
Next you can create a launchd item that will run at log in or start up for every user by placing the .plist file in /Library/LaunchDaemons
example:
If you want it to run for specific users, you toss it in ~/Library/LaunchAgents for that particular user.

hello Folks,
once we compile any C code on Linux, we run the code using "./a.out"..
but can we have an executable for every program so that we can run the code directly without compiling the code every time.
just run the executable and get the output!

This program was first introduced in Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard". It was inspired by xgridctl(8).
BUGS pcastctl(8) uses kill -TERM to allow the daemons a chance to die gracefully; there is currently no way to force a kill -KILL.
