GNU GLOBAL is a source code tagging system thatworks the same way across diverse environments(such as emacs, vi, less, bash, or a Web browser).It allows you to locate specified objects insource files and move there easily. It is usefulfor hacking a large project containing manysubdirectories, many #ifdef directives, and manymain() functions. It is similar to ctags or etags,but differs by being independent of any editor.
