Yes, I did reinstall, and I'm going to restore a backup selectively. When it works, and my users are OK with it, I can risk more on that aging physical machine Smilie. I'll then try adjusting the kernel there, to include more host controllers, and try again imaging directly into a VM. To be continued..

I've moved a physical server over to VMWare ESXi 5.1 using SCO 6.0 with MP4. For whatever reason, people are occasionally getting kicked out or are closing out their telnet session and it is leaving their processes running.
