awk help
$ cat file.txt
1234 /home/demop/abcd (56)
1245 /home/demop/erft (23)
This works:
$ awk '/\/home\/demop\/abcd/' file.txt
1234 /home/demop/abcd (56)
But if "/home/demop/abcd" is assigned to a variable:
$ var="/home/demop/abcd"
Now how to print the line containing var
I tried this:
$ awk '/"'"$var"'"/' file.txt
and
$ awk -v v="$var" '/v/ {print $0}' file.txt
No luck
Please help
