san luns controller problem
Hi,
I'd like to share this...
I see all the luns on my aix when I do lspv, 10 of them, configured by the san contractor. I defined the first sanvg no problem, the second one no problem, but the third got problem and so on. It's random after the second, I think. The error is 0516-024 mkvg: Unable to open p v.
I did a lot of trial and error, even on another machines. I found out that the luns or vg that cannot be added is the one that is defined on controller b. I asked the san-admin to put it all on controller a. I was able to add it all.
When the san admin is creating the lun on ds4300, it is also random that it will select which controller it needs to use. He mentioned to me that the pathing or zoning is set for controller a for unix-connection.
regards,
itik

Hi everyone,
I wonder if I can canvas any opinions or thoughts (good or bad) on SAN attaching a SUN V880/490 to an EMC Clarion SAN?
At the moment the 880 is using 12 internal FC-AL disks as a db server and seems to be doing a pretty good job. It is not I/O, CPU or Memory constrained and the... (2 Replies)

gnutls_x509_crt_get_subject_alt_name2(3) gnutls gnutls_x509_crt_get_subject_alt_name2(3)
NAME
gnutls_x509_crt_get_subject_alt_name2 - API function
SYNOPSIS
#include <gnutls/x509.h>
int gnutls_x509_crt_get_subject_alt_name2(gnutls_x509_crt_t cert, unsigned int seq, void * san, size_t * san_size, unsigned int * san_type,
unsigned int * critical);
ARGUMENTS
gnutls_x509_crt_t cert
should contain a gnutls_x509_crt_t structure
unsigned int seq
specifies the sequence number of the alt name (0 for the first one, 1 for the second etc.)
void * san is the place where the alternative name will be copied to
size_t * san_size
holds the size of ret.
unsigned int * san_type
holds the type of the alternative name (one of gnutls_x509_subject_alt_name_t).
unsigned int * critical
will be non-zero if the extension is marked as critical (may be null)
DESCRIPTION
This function will return the alternative names, contained in the given certificate. It is the same as gnutls_x509_crt_get_sub-
ject_alt_name() except for the fact that it will return the type of the alternative name in san_type even if the function fails for some
reason (i.e. the buffer provided is not enough).
RETURNS
the alternative subject name type on success, one of the enumerated gnutls_x509_subject_alt_name_t. It will return GNUTLS_E_SHORT_MEM-
ORY_BUFFER if san_size is not large enough to hold the value. In that case san_size will be updated with the required size. If the cer-
tificate does not have an Alternative name with the specified sequence number then GNUTLS_E_REQUESTED_DATA_NOT_AVAILABLE is returned.
