CRON problem
Hi all,
I am facing a problem in cron.following are i found and i cant able to find where the problem is exactly......
1> in cron log(/var/adm/cron/log) i found that the cron start my process and it gives PID also but after that it didnt gave any thing like process is failed or sucessfull.
2> I checked current process. and concern process is not running currently.
3>i ran the same script(which i have entered in cron) and i found that it is working fine without any error.
so how can i confirm that the particular script is run sucessfully or failed?????

I've just done a school boy error.
I was trying to edit the crontab but instead of using:
crontab -e
I used crontab -r without realising. Then went to look at the crontab but ntohing their. Looked int he manual and -r removed the crontab.
Is their any way of getting this back??

NAME
strclean - STREAMS error logger cleanup program
SYNOPSIS
strclean [-a age] [-d logdir]
DESCRIPTION
strclean is used to clean up the STREAMS error logger directory on a regular basis (for example, by using cron. By default, all files with
names matching error.* in /var/adm/streams that have not been modified in the last three days are removed.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
-a age The maximum age in days for a log file can be changed using the -a option.
-d logdir A directory other than /var/adm/streams can be specified using the -d option.
EXAMPLES
Example 1 A sample of using the strclean command.
This example has the same result as running strclean with no arguments:
example% strclean -d /var/adm/streams -a 3
