hi,
new to scripting and would like to know how can I have a script which will curl a few URLs and have the results such as the URLs being curled, dns lookup time, connection time, total time, etc save in a html format in a form of table with column and rows.

Does anybody know any alternative way to save output result of a program into another new file?
I got try the command below:
program_used input_file > new_output_file
program_used input_file >> new_output_file
Unfortunately, both the ">" and ">>" is not work at this case to save the output... (6 Replies)

Hi,
If I type:
ls -l *txt | awk '{print $8}'
I get the file listing if I am in the directory.
If I try to do the same from a job flow, doing also other things, I can't do
ls -l directory/*txt | awk '{print $8}' > directory/result.txt
or

Currently I have a perl code to combine two different files.

I have a list of 10 million page urls. I want those pages scraped and saved in the mysql database as raw html.
I own a Linux VPS server with 1GB RAM and WHM/cPanel.
I would like to scrape at least 100,000 urls in 24 hours.

iptables-save [-M,--modprobe modprobe] [-c] [-t table] ip6tables-save [-M,--modprobe modprobe] [-c] [-t table] DESCRIPTION
iptables-save and ip6tables-save are used to dump the contents of IP or IPv6 Table in easily parseable format to STDOUT. Use I/O-redirect- ion provided by your shell to write to a file. -M,--modprobe modprobe_program Specify the path to the modprobe program. By default, iptables-save will inspect /proc/sys/kernel/modprobe to determine the exe- cutable's path. -c, --counters include the current values of all packet and byte counters in the output -t, --table tablename restrict output to only one table. If not specified, output includes all available tables. BUGS
