The memory used in a USB stick is not like RAM in a computer.
What about the type of host-controller on the PC? Is that 1.1 or 2.0?
It is still quicker and easier than burning multiple CDs.

I have already mounted the usb:
/dev/dsk/c2t0d0s2 15G 3.5G 11G 24% /dns_backup
Is there a specific command to backup or do i have to manually copy all the files to the usb.

All host controller errors are passed to the client drivers. Root errors are documented in hubd(7D).
In addition to being logged, the following messages may appear on the system console. All messages are formatted in the following manner:
WARNING: <device path> <uhci><instance number>>: Error message...
No SOF interrupts have been received. This USB UHCI host controller is unusable.
The USB hardware is not generating Start Of Frame interrupts. Please reboot the system. If this problem persists, contact your system
vendor.
