Terminal Type For Installation of Solaris 10
The answer to my problem might be to get a Sun console but I thought I would run it by the experts here first. I have been trying to install Sun Solaris on a SunFire V445 using an HPconsole (just happens to be all I have at my disposal at the moment) and no network connection yet. When I am prompted for my terminal type I am given these options. I have tried Standard ANSI, VT100 and using other hpterm which the installation did not like at all.
1. ANSI Standard CRT
2. DEC VT52
3. DEC VT100
4. Heath Kit 19
5. Lear Siegler ADM31
6. PC Console
7. Sun Command Tool
8. Sun Work Station
9. Televideo 910
10. Televideo 925
11. Wyse Model 50
12. XTERM Emulator
13. CDE Emulator
14. Other
All my choices result in a screen in which the text is wrapped and covered by garbage and I am unable to continue the installation. Have any of you had success using an HPConsole to install Solaris 10? I end up having to boot the server which takes a while after every failed answer. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
