mabe you have a permissons problem... try to give 777 permissions to /var/log
"chmod 777 /var/log"

and last
it doesn't show the person logged in ..
but when i run ps -ef | grep "ip address' it show various process running on the system..

There are 2 sections of configuration in the ksysguardd configuration file: LogFiles, Sensors.
[LogFiles] OPTIONS
the list of all available logfiles
