Again, which version of Solaris, which FTP server, best place to look for are the logs, /var/adm, /var/log...depends... Does the FTP server running at all ?

I use a shell script to transfer files from UNIX to Windows 2000 server before the FTP i need to check whether any files with the same name exists. If the files are already present it need not be FTPed else the file should be FTPed.

Found the ftp.log only generate those entries from other servers/hosts.
Can we trace on all ftp entries either from/to the server?

What does Jun-29 means here? Does it mean that it has been RUNNING/UP since Jun 29th ?
