We've had some success using a version of odbtp for connecting with MS SQL servers.
The driver gets used by a custom "C" program, and it works pretty well, unless I try updating the odbtp software.
I believe odbtp can be found on sourceforge.net

For work, I must configured an applicacion (oracle EPM, this include Datadirect odbc drivers) in solaris.
Additionally, we must connect to Sybase IQ Database (I installed odbc drivers to do this).

SYNOPSIS
lprng_index_certs [directory]
DESCRIPTION
The lprng_index_certs program creates a set of index files in the LPRng signing certificate directory. See lprng_certs(1) for details.
EXIT STATUS
The following exit values are returned:
zero (0) Successful completion.
non-zero (!=0) An error occurred.
