Operating Systems Solaris Faulty PSU - but its still working !?! Post 302096789 by Tornado on Saturday 18th of November 2006 03:49:18 PM

Just an FYI...as I see you have already fixed it.
====================================
The led would turn amber if it has failed OR if it has detected a fault.
I know on the SPARC SunFire range, such as the v440, fan speed could trigger the led to change to amber. If its fan is spinning at a lower rpm then the set threshold(not tunable) it would turn amber aswell.

Best course of action for any amber leds is to log a call with Sun and replace the affected HW ASAP.
