Hi

Thanks it worked but I am curiuos to know why it happened ? i mean why i didnt worked with sh and wirked with bot .script and . ./script.....

what is reason for this behaviour...

cp command not working

Hi Guys, I have about 12000 files in a folder and I want to copy these to another folder. I am using the cp command to do this but it errors out saying cp -- argument list too long. Is there any way to get around this? I don't want to do a mv but use only cp. Thanks (9 Replies)

and cause a directory pointed to by path or fildes to become the current working directory, the starting point for path searches of path names not beginning with path points to the path name of a directory. fildes is an open file descriptor of a directory. For a directory to become the current working directory, a process must have execute (search) access to the directory. RETURN VALUE
