ptree should do the trick:

Code:
root@mp-wst01 # update &
[1] 21151
root@mp-wst01 # ptree $$
342 /usr/lib/ssh/sshd
  16016 /usr/lib/ssh/sshd
    16019 /usr/lib/ssh/sshd
      16021 -ksh
        21151 /usr/bin/ksh /root/scripts/update
          21153 /usr/sbin/smpatch analyze
            21154 /sbin/sh /usr/sbin/pprosvc -l
              21163 /usr/bin/java -Djava.library.path=/usr/lib/cc-ccr/lib com.sun.patchpro.cli.Patc
                21165 /usr/bin/uname -i
            21157 /usr/sbin/smpatch analyze
        21164 ptree 16021
root@mp-wst01 #
