Dumb question I'm sure but how on earth do I transfer files from a sco unix machine to my windows 2000 machine. I'm typing commands on my Win2000 machine. All I can seem to do is move files around on the unix system? (8 Replies)

i have jsut installed linux 9.0 , but i can not ftp or telnet to the system .
i have installed the ftp and the telnet server during installation .
i have also configured the files to enable the ftp and telnet , the ftp and the telnet daemons are running , but when i do ftp :

Hi everyone,
The script actually does the ftp and gets the file to the local system.
I want to do some manipulations for that file , But after doing ftp , script is not proceding and just a prompt is displayed .

hi all,

SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION
Use the ftp file to configure the behavior of the FTP client. Lines that begin with a hash symbol ("# ") are treated as comment lines and
are ignored.
Behavior Directives
The ftp file supports the following behavior directives:
FTP_LS_SENDS_NLST=yes | no
The ls command of the ftp client sends an NLST to the FTP Server by default. Several non-Solaris clients send LIST instead. In order to
make the Solaris ftp client send LIST when the ls command is issued, set FTP_LS_SENDS_NLST to no. The value of FTP_LS_SENDS_NLST is yes
by default.
If the user sets a value for FTP_LS_SENDS_NLST in the user's environment, this value will override any FTP_LS_SENDS_NLST directive that is
specified in /etc/default/ftp.
