Need to know path of dir currently in.
Which command will help us to get the directory path?

$PWD stores the path of current directory.

You can also assign the current directory to an environment variable and use it as a shorthand to move around...

Use the 'accent grave' marks (usually on top row of keyboard, next to 1) to assign the output of the command between them to a variable.
example:

[/home/user/dir] $ a=`pwd`
[/home/user/dir] $ cd /home/user/otherdir
[/home/user/otherdir] $ echo $a
/home/usr/dir
[/home/usr/otherdir] $ cd $a
[/home/usr/dir] $

If you need to get the full path to a script you are writing, you can use the pwd command in conjunction with the dirname command and cd.

Code:
#!/bin/ksh
# whichdir.ksh

MYDIR=$(cd $(dirname $0);pwd)
echo MYDIR=${MYDIR}

The the full pathname to the script will be obtained, irrespective of whether the path given to the script is a fill path or a relative one:

[/home/auser] ./bin/whichdir.ksh
MYDIR=/home/auser/bin
[/home/auser] /home/auser/bin/whichdir.ksh
MYDIR=/home/auser/bin
