XtPending()															       XtPending()

Name
  XtPending - determine if there are any events in an application's input queue.

Synopsis
  XtInputMask XtPending()

Inputs
  None.

Returns
  An XtInputMask which indicates what kind of events, if any, are pending on app_context.

Availability
  XtPending() has been superseded by XtAppPending().

Description
  XtAppPending() returns a nonzero value if there are pending events from the X server, timer, or other input sources.

  The  return  value is a bit mask that is the OR of XtIMXEvent (an X event), XtIMTimer (a timer event-see XtAppAddTimeOut()), and XtIMAlter-
  nateInput (an alternate input event-see XtAppAddInput()).

Usage
  XtPending() has been superseded by XtAppPending(), which performs the same function on a per-application context  basis.   XtPending()  now
  calls  XtAppPending()  passing the default application context created by XtInitialize().  Very few programs need multiple application con-
  texts, and you can continue to use XtPending() if you initialize your application with XtInitialize().  We recommend, however, that you use
  XtAppInitialize(), XtAppPending(), and the other XtApp*() application context specific functions.

  Programs rarely need this much control over the event dispatching mechanism.	Most programs use XtAppMainLoop().
