This was in reference to his work on algorithmic analysis - but yeah, I guess the hints could have been better.

Your turn.

I picked a special photo of this guy. The first hint is that suit. The only other guy I have seen in a suit like that is Patrick McGoohan in The Prisoner. But a second hint is that he is a rather famous computer guy.

Not Robin Williams. Smilie

I guess a hint is in order: At one point, rather early in the history of Unix, he announced that he was switching his company to Unix. Unix grew considerably in stature from this move.

He doesn't look like modern photos of Brian Kernighan...but it's a possibility.

edit: i just realized how stupid that was...nevermind.

My hint may leave you with the impression that he was just a business man, so to elaborate on my hint... While he did run his own company, he was, at his heart, a techie, not a business type guy. He was among the very best at what he did and made several astonishing advancements in computer science. And he was a little odd... even for a top computer tech. Example: one of his hobbies was digging tunnels on his estate. They didn't go anywhere or serve any purpose...he just liked digging tunnels. (Another example is that suit... I actually thought that I could have cropped off his head and still someone would get it.)
