Well, a similar quiz, based on the game of cricket, is played on Wikipedia. There, if nobody can answer the question, the questioner will provide the answer himself and post a new question or just post a new question (without providing the answer).

We could do something similar here.

That would be the preferred option, and is the way it works in most places the game is played.

Sorry Perderabo, I have no idea who it is, but I'll probably be kicking myself when you say. My Leonard De Vries guess was simply because I happen across a book.

To be honest knowing the TV thing doesn't help me that much since I don't watch TV much at all, and as a kid I lived in an area where there was no tv reception.

Correct, reborg, Churchill was the last one. So you can go ahead.

Ralph, the the one before that was Don Herbert aka Mr Wizard. Is that who you thought it was?

Ok, I'll give you a break Perderabo, I'm not kicking myself though. I didn't know the previous one at all ( to see ), and would never have gotten it.

This one may or may not be difficult, but I'll start out without any clues.
