No guesses yet? It's not like you need to be a wizard to get this, he is a rather famous dude! He first came to fame in the 50's and he looked a little different then. So maybe a 2nd photo will help? He had hair back then... Smilie But he is also well known for his more recent work and a lot of folks might recognize that 1st photo more readily.

I'm pretty sure I knew who it is from your first picture, but I just did two pictures so I think I'll sit this one out.

Given the activities in the pictures, I'm going to guess Leonard De Vries.

No, but you're in the right universe. It's like you guessed "The Buckinghams" when you needed to guess "The Beatles". He is almost that preeminent.

OK, this clue should give it away: television. His first TV show is on DVD. So is his 2nd or 3rd depending on how you count. There are 8 volumes so far of each show, with 4 shows per volume. He has appeared on the Tonight Show more often than Rodney Dangerfield. On his first Tonight Show appearance, Steve Allen was the host. And Johnny Carson hosted his last Tonight Show appearance. After he appeared on the first David Letterman show, he has appeared on David Letterman exclusively. He never appeared on the Tonight Show after Jay Leno took over. (Maybe he is miffed at NBC for cancelling his show Smilie ) Anyway, his last show was on cable. A bit a trivia: he was on Hollywood Squares as a guest star one week.

Sure, he wrote some books, produced some films, won the usual handful of awards, yada, yada, yada. But it is television where he made his mark. He is now more or less retired.

I guess I was wrong. Maybe you do need to be a wizard to get this. Smilie

Reborg? We may need a ruling here. What happens if no one guesses the identity of the guy in the photo? Since this isn't Monopoly there may a terminal condition, so is the game over? Games usually have winners and losers... so which does this make me? Smilie
