Poster of the Year 2019 - Jeroen van Dijke

Today, I am very pleased to announce the Poster of the Year Award, 2019 is Jeroen van Dijke (Scrutinizer)

Jeroen has been a member of unix.com just over 11 years (He first joined unix.com in November 2008) and has been a very valuable, reliable and thoughtful resource for countless people over the years. Jeroen also happens to be a very valuable and experienced moderator at unix.com, but he did not receive this award because of his very much appreciated moderating skills.

Jeroen was nominated by forum members and then selected as the 2019 "Poster of the Year" because of his consistent and helpful detailed explanations when he replies to member's questions.
  • Jeroen consistently provides helpful answers to members questions with easy to understand explanations when he replies.
  • He maintains a steadfast dedication of the overall mission and noble cause of helping others with their technical challenges.
  • Finally, similar to our two moderators of the year in 2019, Jaroen is also wise and considerate in his thoughts, words and deeds in our community; and he continues to promote and support the mission of the site, especially in 2019, without pushing his personal agenda ahead of the mission of helping others who come to unix.com when in need.

There are many people who deserve to be "Poster of the Year" at unix.com. However, Jeroen has stood out as a bright shining star in 2019 for his dedication to helping users in a very professional, detailed way; always consistent and thoughtful.

Jeroen will receive the following award " humble prizes " for Poster of the Year, 2019:
  • A $250 USD cash price for his great work helping others in 2019.
  • The "The Order of the Hippo Badge" honoring the strength his consistent, egoless service to unix.com members in need of technical help.
  • Ten million "Forum Bits", which makes his total cash price $250.01 USD, including the value of the bits Smilie
  • He will receive a shiny, colorful Poster of the Year Certificate from unix.com Smilie

Please and kindly join me in congratulating Jeroen for his well deserved "Poster of the Year, 2019" award.

As always, all of you who post at unix.com, helping others in need of answers to their difficult technical questions, helping to teach and guide others, all of you do a fantastic job promoting the "noble cause" mission of unix.com.

Thank You, Everyone!
