Download UNIX for Learning
Hey all,
I'm a 19 year MS and Novell GUY, and I switched over to UNIX from a outsourced company. I would like to down load UNIX and load it onto one of my systems at home, and test and learn.
Someone from my team stated it is a free down load, if someone can give me a hand and the link to donwload it , it would be a super thing to help a old dog learn new tricks!!And I can't find it in the FAQ,, only saw Unix for macs,, not good.

This question has been asked a lot. You can download Linux and (now) Solaris 10 for free from the net. For Linux distributions, check this site. Very useful. Just scroll down the page, select your criteria from the dropdown boxes and you are on your way! Just keep in mind that some distros are better maintained than others.
For solaris, go here.

Moderators, since this is not an off topic question, can we move this to the dummies forum or some such?
