Tapatalk/Forum Runner

I was wondering if there was support for Tapatalk or Forum Runner? I tried both, Tapatalk found you guys but it crashes when I try to log in. I log in at the computer no problem (as you can tell) but Tapa refuses to log me in. I even cleared all my tapatalk data and still nothing. Thank you for the information.

Tapatalk "spoofs" the HTTD User Agent string and has a host of other problems; so we don't use it. Also, Tapatalk completely discounted our comments. I think we have a post on this somewhere.

Apologies if I missed it. I saw that the posts we old and locked, and after finding you on Tapatalk, I thought maybe I was missing something.

Have you looked into Forum Runner? forumrunner.net I'm no expert on the security issues, but they may be a good alternative. The only downside that I've found with them is that their free app only allows for forum reading. If you want to post or admin you have to buy, but for $2-$3 it's WELL worth it.

Most of these "forum apps" do not display "code tags" and "quote tags" properly; so in a forum such as ours where most posts have code, these types of mobile forum apps do not work well for both reading and writing.

Most of us have tried these mobile apps and we find it is better to use the main forum on our mobile phones via a web browser. That is exactly what I do with my mobile phones for the past few years, and using a web browser and the standard forum display works the best all around.

And also, which displays getting large and more people moving to tablets, the standard web browser is really optimal; and since all these "forum apps" have so many problems and limitations, it is doubtful we will support any of them again.

Sorry about that.

We will remove our site from Tapatalk and disable that app completely, shortly as well.
