ok, so let me try some think out i shall play some senarios 1st the robot one about us making life live-able on other planets by using robots to build stuff lets say a solar wind comes along with no atmosphere all eltrical devises are usless they would be fried.2nd Red Giant there would be no way for us to move the earth using the gravity of jupiter using the facts of that jupiter is on the wrong side of us it would end up pushing us more toward the sun.and if we did find a way to turn the ship it would either have to much momentum to turn or it would lose it doing the turn.3rd my idea about it becoming a Black Hole it has all it needs once it runs out due to its size now in stead of making iron and expanding i think it would more then likly just stop every thing and either srink and be come a white dwarf or literly emplode on it self and just start trying to fill a empty void by taking in all light around it and also taking in any matter close enough in its gravitational pull(which we are).
but those are just my thoughts im not a scince person.
