Its SSD in action. I would not be surprised to find that for most casual users the Air delivers a snappier experience than a MBP. For someone who doesn't often run cpu/gpu intensive tasks, the faster storage (fast boot, swift suspend/resume, quick app launching) would have more impact.

Now, Oracle on Linux on VMWare on OSX ... perhaps not so casual Smilie

Yeah! I bought the fully loaded MBA and it boots lightening fast. I've never seen anything like it. I'll post back just how fast.......

Wow! Boots in around 8 seconds... fully connected to WiFi when up... that means less than 10 seconds to go from cold and dark to booted and on the net. Very impressive!

Upgrade to Lion (Version 10.7.3) for MacBook Air

Anyone running Lion on their Mac? I'm currently running Snow Leopard (v. 10.6.8) and have been hesitant to upgrade to 10.7.X. Anyone at all running Lion? Any experiences good or bad to report? Thanks! (7 Replies)
