Congratulations to Chile ! Bravo !!
On behalf of the forums, we are so happy to see such an amazingly rescue of the 33 miners. What a great and happy story of human endurance and team work to save miners trapped nearly 700 meters underground.

Bravo Chile !!

No Internet for 68 or so days!!

Not to mention ... all the "other things".... !!!!

This one of the first disasters in history of which the rescue was streamed online. And that's probably because the preparation time was about 4 weeks.
Although the ending was a happy one for them and in fact for the whole nation, we should not discount the fact that these men will be highly susceptible to post-traumatic stress disorder.

wait command - cat it wait for not-chile process?

Did not use 'wait' yet. How I understand by now the wait works only for child processes, started background. Is there any other way to watch completion of any, not related process (at least, a process, owned by the same user?) I need to start a background process, witch will be waiting... (2 Replies)
